The foundation FMC was built on is the idea of "doing small things everyday to help our world." This is through building habits, such as picking up trash on your way to work or choosing environmental products and organic goods.
The FMC application was created to help users log their personal time and how much they've accumulated, since they've began building habits. In addition to simply working as a timer the application has a dedicated section to spreading articles and contents that are related to environmental issues. As the user's overall time grows, this opens up new deliverable options such as badges, pins, and other physical content that helps show their support for Earth and Five Minute Change.
